One family’s search.
A conversation with many others.

Mumu Dad is a father, writer and family-education guide from China. His work explores everyday parenting with autistic children, parent–child relationships and the learning parents do themselves.

A person, a family,
and a reason to share.

In his essay “I am Mumu Dad,” he describes a background in technology and product management, followed by the search for information, changes in family life and learning that came with parenting his child.

His public writing from 2021 grew into talks, conversations with parents and the PFGE family-learning programme. The focus is on working through everyday questions with parents, rather than presenting an idea alone.

This overseas edition organises those Chinese materials into reading and conversation entry points, making a family’s experience from China accessible to English-speaking readers. It currently includes Chinese review pages and English reading versions.

THE PFGE PERSPECTIVE

A way of thinking about family life

PFGE is Mumu Dad’s framework for organising family-education ideas. Here, its observation points are explained in everyday language. It is not a diagnostic tool or an accreditation from another programme.

01

Observe the child

Start with interests, communication and activities they can participate in now, rather than one expectation based on age alone.

02

Understand the interaction

Look at how a moment starts, where it becomes difficult and what both the child and caregiver may be experiencing.

03

Adjust everyday life

Bring play, expression, boundaries and shared experiences into real situations, with small adjustments where they fit.

04

Reflect and sustain

Notice concrete feedback while accounting for work, rest, energy and the support available to the family.

The work behind this site

In his 2026 programme introduction, Mumu Dad reflects on four years of in-depth contact with hundreds of families and describes course learning, parent submissions, phone conversations and ongoing questions. This is his account of Chinese-language services, not an independent effectiveness study.

¹ The figure of approximately 200,000 Chinese-platform followers was provided by Mumu Dad in November 2026. It is not a count of families served. The existing Chinese programme is described as background; enrolment is not offered through this overseas preview.

Sources and editorial approach

The first pages are thematic adaptations of selected essays and public-talk materials, with original sources listed. Personal experience, educational perspectives and clinical evidence are different kinds of information. This edition does not present causal hypotheses, personal prognoses or subjective ratings as established medical conclusions. Adaptations and translations await the author’s review.
